+++++ What Thomas Kinkade said about this work +++++
"I've chosen to re-visit a favorite artistic place in 'Blessings of
Christmas', which takes a fresh look at the charming cottage of "Home Is
Where The Heart Is II" in its evergreen bower, but now in the snowy grip of
winter. Somehow, the warmth of family life lived in this cozy dwelling is
accentuated by the shroud of snow that that sits so gracefully on the
trees. The cheerful snowman wrapped in his red scarf and wielding a straw
broom, embodies the very spirit of the season."
"One of the simple pleasures in my life involves returning to a favorite
place to notice the subtle variations in mood and theme that time and a
change of seasons can effect. My imaginative challenge in
painting 'Blessings of Christmas' was to take a familiar scene and
transform it into a dream-image of Christmas. The change of season subtly
alters the mood, lifting this out of its specific locale and locating it in
the mythical world where we celebrate the joyous tidings of the Christmas
season all year 'round."
