+++++ What Thomas Kinkade said about this work +++++
"Don't ever get so busy that you don't have time for walks. Walks renew my
enthusiasm, restore my spirit, refresh my soul - and I make such wonderful
discoveries when I'm on a ramble.
Lately I've been strolling back home from my studio and enjoying myself
immensely. It's Spring here; the trees have burst into bloom and the quiet
evening air is heavy with fragrance. But what I've discovered is a quality
of light - a vibrance of evening that touches the new blooms with a rare
intensity of brilliant color.
That radiant atmosphere pervades The Blessings of Spring. The stately manor
house is one that Nanette and I discovered in our travels through England
(it's an inn, now - you can actually spend the night there). The flowering
urn, magically back lit by the last rays of the setting sun, and stately
circular drive are taken from life.
In the luminous light of a Spring evening, it's easy to imagine stately
Victorian guests to the manor stepping out of their carriages to make a
grand entrance - and that memory is truly a blessing."
