+++++ What Thomas Kinkade said about this work +++++
"'Boston is a city for walking!' and so this painting demonstrates one of my favorite strolls along the Boston Commons and the Public Garden (famous for its 'Swan Boats').

Park Street Church is featured in the center, and the John Hancock building is in the background. These buildings, while real, are not actually geographically situated as depicted in the painting. Norman Rockwell is in the painting smoking the pipe. 'The sweet, warm fragrance of candied peanuts roasting in the sidewalk vendor’s cart is a standard fixture in Boston Common' so I included a peanut stand (featured on the left and named after my oldest daughter, Merritt). The late presidential couple, John F. and Jackie Kennedy, are walking up the center of the painting."
