+++++ What Thomas Kinkade said about this work +++++
"While visiting New England, Nanette and I decided to search for some of the old haunts
of our mutual hero, Norman Rockwell. Country Memories is a loving tribute to the
charming country area Rockwell called home for so many years."

COUNTRY MEMORIES
This painting is a tribute to Norman Rockwell. Thom was inspired to paint this while
visiting Arlington, Vermont, a place where Rockwell lived for many years. Rockwell’s
house is now a bed and breakfast. Thom is the only artist every allowed to paint in
Rockwell’s former studio. Note the graffiti on the bridge is an actual tribute to Thom’s
family. The bridge’s sign says its elevation is “528” feet - 528 signifying Thom and
Nanette’s marriage date. Rockwell owned much of the land depicted in this work at one
time.
