ABOUT THIS PAINTING
This work was originally entitled Nevada City, 1922.
- The trolley’s number is 5282 as a tribute to his and Nanette’s wedding date.
- A store sign on the left proudly displays "Nanette K" while Thom is hailing the trolley.
- Thom and Nanette are hiding out from the rain and the viewer’s eye in this work (they are located on the left-hand side of the painting under blue and red awning and the initials "H.E.S.")
