Thomas Kinkade speaks about his painting Rainy Dusk, Paris.
"Rainy Dusk, Paris, my third Life Values print, celebrates the dramatic expansion of our
horizons that follows the act of courage.
"In Rainy Dusk, Paris I paint on a busy promenade where the residue of a light rain
enlivens the colors of store-fronts and streetlamps. In some ways, when I put on my beret
and paint as Robert Girrard, I feel transported to the Impressionist era. Perhaps that is
why the nostalgic costumes and vintage cars seem so very right. My brush moves with an
energy that reflects the life of the City of Lights."

What Thomas Kinkade said about his Robert Girrarde work
"By using the Girrard brush name, I have achieved absolute artistic freedom. This freedom
led to a joyful experimentation that resulted in numerous breakthroughs and advances in
my artistic techniques and talents. Accomplished in the creation of mood and atmosphere
in landscape, the broadened palette I acquired during the Girrard years allowed new
dimensions to be employed in how I handled the subtle beauties of the qualities in a
broad variety of contexts."
